CARDIAC PACING IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA – CURRENT SITUATION

Sažetak. Broj ugrađenih elektrostimulatora srca posljednjih je godina u Republici Hrvatskoj znatno povećan, ali još nismo dosegli razinu razvijenih europskih zemalja. To se posebno odnosi na broj ugrađenih kardioverter-defibrilatora, a manje, ali ipak, i na odnos jednostavnih i sofisticiranih elektrostimulatora srca. Usprkos tomu naši bolesnici, kada postavimo indikaciju, dobivaju najkvalitetnije i najsuvremenije uređaje jer se u Republici Hrvatskoj ugrađuju uređaji najrenomiranijih svjetskih proizvođača.
Summary
Summary. The number of implanted cardiac pacemakers in Croatia has considerably increased in the recent years. However, we still have not reached the level of the developed European countries. This particularly applies to the number of implanted cardioverter-defibrillators, and less so to the proportion of simple and sophisticated cardiac pacemakers. Despite this, when indication is established our patients receive top quality and most modern devices, because in Croatia the products of the most renowned world manufacturers are implanted.
